The Jelly Belly Candy Company, or simply Jelly Belly, is based in Fairfield, California, and produces more than 37 million pounds (17,000 tonnes) of candy annually at its Fairfield, North Chicago, Illinois, and Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, facilities, which have nearly 800,000 square feet (74,000 m2) of production space among them. The first brand to be distributed by SSFC is Jelly Belly Candy Company’s Jelly Belly jelly beans. In spite of its premium nature, sensitivity to heat and humidity, the company has successfully distributed the brand nationwide to select outlets with acceptable storage and display conditions. In 2009, SSFC won the Distributor of the Year Award for hitting 100% growth on its 2nd year of distribution. In 2014, SSFC won a Marketing Excellence Award for our activities that generated growth of 80%.
Today, we continue to achieve growth despite limitations, through aggressive marketing and close monitoring of displays and stock levels.
